At Addiction Angel events, Alicia Reddy consistently manages to draw hundreds of Staten Islanders to the South Shore for her addiction support groups inspiring program. The evening included heartbreaking stories told by families who have lost someone to addiction. Recovering drug users also spoke about the pitfalls of substance abuse. We are in a huge epidemic with heroin, Reddy said to nearly 200 people gathered in Tottenville High School on Thursday night.
